A Word on Dens of Sin
The world is full of sin, and there are many establishments that, despite the fine efforts of our predecessors, still spread their poison through insidious promotions like "Happy Hour" and "Ladies Night."
Firstly, there is no true happiness to be found during this so-called "Happy Hour," at least not for its participants; especially since the Enemy is, while the patrons take their twisted communion of martinis and bruchetta, tittering with joy and rubbing his cloven hooves together in anticipation of the day when their souls will be but flotsam on the Lake of Fire.
Second, "Ladies Night" does not produce any ladies. To the contrary, no woman is a lady after three hours of half-priced drinks.
For official members of the unofficial People's Prohibition Party, these places are to be avoided, unless you would kneel on the sidewalk and pray for the souls of the misled inside.

Not to mention that most of these said drinks were more than likely purchased by gentlemen (a word I apply loosely) with less-than-chaste intentions.
We also speak to those so-called "Liberated Women" who buy drinks for themselves.
The only thing they're liberated from is morality.

The crafts hour at church is a lot of fun. Last week we made doilies in the shape of the Virgin Mother. It was a riot.
Especially when Judy Halpern's doily resembled St. Martin of Tours. I giggled for minutes.

Interesting opinions on this site. Big fans of extremity I see. The ladies night comment i completely agree with. It is always a shame to see women degrading themselves with promiscuity. However, their would are thier own. If they favour their souls to be, "but flotsam on the Lake of Fire" then so be it. Are you so insecure that you can't all find strength and comfort in your own moral triumphs. I applaud any effort to recover those lost to alcohol abuse. But simply to recover, not to punish. We do not punish. That is why we have an all-knowing lord God to recieve us into Heaven or block access at his discretion. I myself do not drink because I believe that I do not need those indulgences in my life to be happy. Now, instead of trying the poor souls trapped by alcohol abuse, couldn't we all try to help them. If you believe that you are truely of superior moral fiber then shouldn't you use that to help souls rather then use it simply to rub their problems in their faces. I sympathize with your cause, but I think a little empathy would do you all some good. Jesus himself drank wine. Not to intoxication of course, but he did drink wine. Let him decide the punishments and rewards. We will save whom we can.
Please spare me hostile responces. We should all be above that. At least I assume so, given that you are all well-spoken. Please consider what I say. And by all means be free to dissent... that is half my point after all.
